Since 2013, Rev. Dr Simone Sinn serves as study secretary for public theology and interreligious relations at the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) in Geneva (Switzerland). The LWF is a global communion of 145 churches in the Lutheran tradition, representing over 72 million Christians in 98 countries. Dr Sinn organises international theological consultations on religious plurality and the public space in different regions, together with local academic institutions, religious communities and interreligious initiatives. Dr Sinn was ordained as pastor in the Lutheran church in Württemberg, Germany. She studied theology in Germany and ecumenical relations in Ireland. Her doctoral research at the University of Muenster (Germany) focused on Christian and Muslim perspectives on religious pluralism in Indonesia, beyond the insights from her field study in Indonesia it provides a theological reflection on constructive engagement with religious plurality from a Lutheran perspective. Furthermore, Dr Sinn participated in advanced studies courses on civilian peacebuilding at Swisspeace in Bern and Basel (Switzerland). Biography as at 23.02.18
