- Ecumenical and Interreligious Relations
The Office for Ecumenical and Inter-Religious Relations offers prayers for unity and participates in formal dialogues to nurture a spirit of understanding and respect, while collaborating actively in mission and ministry opportunities. Ecumenical-resolutions passed at General Convention 2012 include: Resolution A036-Further dialogue with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in order to continue to live deeper into our full communion relationship/ Resolution A037-Guidelines for ecumenical shared ministries when there is a need to establish or participate in such relationships in particular locations. Interfaith dialogue resolutions passed at General Convention 2012 include: Resolution A035-Commitment to continued interreligious engagement in order to build and strengthen relationships with other denominations/ Resolution D081-Initiate dialogue with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in advance of the 2015 General Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah, which is the world headquarters for Mormonism.
