AU ECOSOCC Citizens’ Forum

The Citizens’ Forum is the flagship annual civil society platform of the African Union’s Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC).
It is the AU’s primary mechanism for bringing citizens, civil society organizations, traditional and faith leaders, youth, women, and AU policymakers together in one space. Most Recent Edition: 2025 ECOSOCC Citizens’ Forum, July 2025 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea under the theme: “Reimagining Democracy and Advancing Reparative Justice: A New Social Contract”. The Citizens’ Forum is annual, with previous editions held in Lusaka, Nairobi, Accra, before the 2025 edition in Malabo.
