World Scout Interreligious Symposium
A global gathering promoting interreligious dialogue, tolerance, solidarity, and peace within Scouting.
The World Scout Interreligious Symposium (WSIS) is an official global gathering within the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). Its purpose is to bring together representatives of National Scout Organizations and religious networks to foster:
- Interreligious dialogue
- Tolerance and solidarity
- Peace and mutual understanding
It is coordinated by the World Scout Inter-religious Forum (WSIF) and is part of WOSM’s wider work on spiritual development and faith cooperation.
The 5th World Scout Interreligious Symposium, themed ‘Duty to God- Duty to Scouting’, was held from 27-29 January 2017 at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in New York, USA.Â
