IRD Activities
- Public Outreach
Through its public outreach or awareness raising campaign, CDNH leads civic education programs (forums, conferences and workshops) designed to provide the public with alternative discourses on diversity and social harmony. Relatedly, CDNH hosts regular meetings with high-level government officials, civil society activists and religious leaders in order to discuss ideas on effective ways to address threats of violence. In tandem with these efforts, CDNH publishes and disseminates newsletters and bulletins on topical issues. CDNH is also currently engaged in the development of public school syllabi and teaching materials devised to enhance understanding about different religions, foster interfaith dialogues and promote deeper understanding of human rights. In preparing such materials, CDNH first conducts formal surveys and holds consultations with government officials, community leaders, teachers and students in order to arrive at mutually acceptable terms and concepts
- Other Interfaith Activities
CDNH is also involved in interfaith trainings, interfaith youth camps, interfaith dinners, and interfaith exposure visits.
