Mission OneWorld – Centre for Partnership, Development and Mission of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria
Encourage people to take on and spread the message of Jesus Christ of faith, hope and love; create partnerships with Lutheran and other churches in Africa, Latin America, East Asia and Pacific through encounters, personnel exchanges and financial support; commit to the partners' concerns and promote ecumenical and global learning; send employees abroad and welcome people from our partner churches to collaborate with us in our church; take responsibility for the implementation of human rights and, in particular, support the right that women, men and children can live in dignity and freedom; live and promote Christianity worldwide and work together with our partners for more justice, peace and the integrity of creation in OneWorld.
Mission OneWorld has been established as a Centre for Partnership, Development and Mission of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria on 1 January 2007 in Neuendettelsau.
- Educational Programs
The departments of the center annually develop a variety of educational opportunities on various topics covering development policy, global education, religion, interreligious and multicultural dialogue, partnership collaboration and more. The target groups are teachers, community, group or youth leader, international pupils and students, and the interested public. Programs include 'Mission South-North' courses, 'Horizons' courses, summer schools, annual conferences / 'Mission and Partnership' conferences, language courses, 'STUBE Bavaria' non-university studies' accompanying program, permanent exhibitions, lectures by subject specialists, workshops, and 'treasure' hunts.
