Aim
Design programs that encourage debates and free exchange of ideas; serve as a mediating platform between the government, citizens and communities; engage like-minded partners to promote inclusive governance processes that foster the common good of all citizens; foster a productive partnership between faith leaders, the academia and public officials; enhance the quality of leadership training at all levels both in the public and non-governmental sectors.
History
The Kukah Centre commenced operations in 2008 in Kaduna, north-western Nigeria as Centre for Faith and Public Policy (CFPP) under the leadership and direction of (then) Monsignor Mathew Hassan Kukah.
IRD Activities
- Inter-Faith Dialogue
Inter-faith Dialogue is at the core of the centre’s work and involves actively promoting conversation among Nigeria’s faith communities at well as between leaders in faith and public policy. The Kukah Centre aspires to become Nigeria’s leading institution by the promotion of an active and engaged citizenry by serving as a platform for inclusive dialogues and advocacy initiatives.
