World Scout Bureau – Interamerican Scout Region
Aim
Contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens, and as members of their local, national, and international communities.
History
The Interamerican Scout Conference and the Interamerican Scout Committee were established at the meeting held in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1946, by the accredited representatives of those National Scout Organizations of the American continent which practised the Scout Movement at that time and which had been recognised by the World Scout Conference. Both bodies were subsequently recognised by resolution Nº 9 adopted by the XI World Scout Conference in Rosny, France, in August, 1947.
