Biography Narrative

Barzan Baran Rashid graduated from the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in United States. He is a preacher at the Hamid Sian Mosque of the Ministry of Endowment and Religious Affairs and a researcher/specialist in the field of foreign communities in the United States of America.

Barzan participated in the workshop on co-existence and peaceful living of religious minorities in the US in 2014 and has been awarded the International Leadership Certificate of the IAPTLD. He is also a member the of Erbil Conference of Citizenship and Peace organization in Erbil City, Iraq.

Role of Religious Leaders, Educational and Religion Institutions in Combating the Hate Speech and Discrimination

After the ISIS conflicts and wars in Iraq, now Iraq is in transferable stage, it seems clear that the co-existence between religions and components needs some rectifications. so the religious leaders and the agencies of education and religion will play a vital role in theses rectification. we will focus on the essence of tolerance and peacefully living in the society which becomes an urgent solutions in the our community. the sessions will focus on training some academic university staff, religious leaders and governmental officers, especially in the ministry of endowment and ministry of education. The program of the training will focus on the importance of human rights and the modern methods of civic standards all over the world. It depends on the modern sources and social studies by international agencies such as FORBS. The trainer staff will be qualified and trained staff whom have ToT certificate by international organizations
