Setting Up a Centre / Office for IRD & Cultural Dialogue
On 13/12/2020, a license for founding an Office / Centre for research and training on IRD and Cultural Dialogue was issued by King Khalid University (Abha- Saudi Arabia). the office is named (Qantara for Dialogue and Communication), and its main task is doing research and training on IRD and CD. Its first activities was on 27/1/2021 and it was a training workshop on Civilization/Cultural Dialogue, and the material of the training was produced by Dialogue Academy for Training, affiliated to King Abdulaziz Centre for National Dialogue (Riyadh). It was attended by 30 people who varied in terms of their occupation: 15 postgraduate students (4 international students), 5 Professors, 3 university students (international students), 2 Imams, 5 school teachers. Regarding their gender, they were 10 females and 20 males. – The duration of the workshop was 3 hours. There were many activities where participants engaged actively, and at the end there was Q&A section. E-Certificates of participation were then awarded to each of the participants by Qantara Office thorough email.
