Biography Narrative

Subindra Bogati is the Founder and Chief Executive of the Nepal Peacebuilding Initiative, where he oversees the organization’s development and growth as well as operations and programmes. He has over 13 years of experience designing and managing peacebuilding, interreligious dialogue and humanitarian response programmes in Nepal. Currently, he is implementing projects to strengthen capacities for conflict prevention, local mediation and reconciliation at the subnational levels in Nepal.

He has authored and co-authored numerous publications on peacebuilding, social cohesion and humanitarian issues. He holds a master’s degree in International Relations from London Metropolitan University. He was a Chevening Fellow at the University of Birmingham on democracy, rule of law and security in 2009. The motto that he identifies with is: “My way is peace”.

Interreligious Activities and Initiatives

Interreligious dialogue against Islamophobia

The initiative brought religious leaders of different religion together and discussed how they can help fight any type of phobia seen in the society which targets the religion. The initiative also discussed what roles religious leaders can play to prevent it from happening and what they can do after it happens. The meetings also had representations of teachers, local government officials, community leaders and civil society representations.
