Youth Club for Intercultural Dialogue, Democracy and Peace
Aim
Promote intercultural dialogue and youth participation; assist the strengthen of democracy and human rights education in Armenia; support peacebuilding and mutual understanding in our region.
History
Organisation has been founded in 2009 by group of active young people. YCIDDP was registered as a non-governmental organisation in 2010.
IRD Activities
- Long-term training program
“United Youth Combating Hate” for youth workers and leaders of the EU and the Eastern Partnership - Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Moldova, Estonia, Georgia and Turkey. The project was aimed at developing skills in the fight against hate speech by training in human rights. The project tackled the more and more alarming situation among young people, namely the growing hatred and xenophobia caused by religious and ethnic conflict on international level
- Integration of refugees through football
The project included Conference dedicated to the Integration of Refugees in Armenia and also Football Match within the framework of Football People Action Week Campaign. The project is open for representatives of Refugee groups and Youth Non-Governmental organizations from 18 to 30 years old.
