Judson Research Center For Interfaith Studies, Dialogue and Current Issues
Aim
Promote the credibility of the center and build up networking with other like-minded individuals, centers, and partners, locally and internationally; serve as a pioneer center for the promotion of interfaith studies and dialogue; facilitate the experience of dialogue among people of different faiths; and promote interreligious awareness and cooperative actions in environmental preservation and current issues.
History
Established in 13th July 2003, the Judson Research Center of the Myanmar Institute of Theology is dedicated as a center for the promotion of interfaith studies, dialogue and current issues in Myanmar.
IRD Activities
- Interfaith Engagement
The objectives of JCR-MIT's programs are promoting interfaith awareness, increasing capacity of interfaith group, creating space for interfaith dialogue through current issues, promoting existing relationship with other faith institutions, and promoting dialogue skills
- Church Engagement
The objectives of JCR-MIT's programs are promoting interfaith awareness, empowering the mission of the Church to be relevantly engaged, and promoting dialogue skills
- Networking and Promotion of Interfaith Dialogue
One of JCR-MIT's core objectives is the promotion of interfaith dialogue as well as networking.
