The Jerusalem Way
Aim
Help young people who have the desire to go on foot to Jerusalem; participate in and encourage meetings for a better understanding of the three great monotheistic religions, and also other cultures (Eastern countries, Mediterranean countries, Middle East...); build friendships between walkers, their friends, and the families who have hosted them during their journey.
History
The first walk to Jerusalem took place in 1972 by André Haim, a Catholic priest, and Wilfried Reinermann (22 years old, member of the International Civil Service). The association 'Route de Jérusalem' was founded in 1983, in accordance with the French law of 1901.

Since 1972, more than 50 young men and women have participated in a walk from Europe to Jerusalem trying to build a road to peace, discovering other cultures and religions, and improving their understanding of the three main monotheistic religions.
