Michael Barnes, S.J. studied at the Universities of London, Oxford and Cambridge and is professor of Interreligious Relations at Heythrop College, University of London. A Jesuit since 1965, his particular area of expertise is Buddhism, the religions of India and Christian-Jewish Relations. His main area of writing and research is Comparative Theology. He has served as a consultant to the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue in Rome and to the ecumenical Churches Commission on Inter-faith Relations. He is currently writing a book enitled Waiting on Grace, on the theology of dialogue. Biography as at 28.03.18
