Aim
The goal is to address not only the problems of traditionally called "missions", but the entire scope of missionary activity as defined by the Second Vatican Council as a constitutive dimension of the Church. The Institute of Missiology also supports the career of missiology with research, publications and university extension.
History
In 1971, the Bolivian Episcopal Conference and the Bolivian Conference of Religious officially founded the Higher Institute of Theological Studies (ISET), known today as the "San Pablo" Faculty of Theology. The "San Pablo" Faculty of Theology was created offer academic training to seminarians and members of the religious consecrated life. In 1994, the institute opened a postgraduate program in Theology, including a specialization in Missiology.
