Aim
Facilitate comprehensive grassroots peace building that involves diverse voices of the community: leaders in education, governmental and religious sectors, as well as non-profit organisations and youth to create sustainable solutions and empower individuals and communities to be an integral part in global peacebuilding.
History
Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light was founded on 4 June 2013.
IRD Activities
- World Alliance of Religions' Peace (WARP)
WARP derives from the WARP Summit in 2014 held by HWPL in Seoul, South Korea, with 200,000 participants from 130 countries of the world. As a global interfaith peace movement, the WARP Offices have been established as HWPL's major project for peace through discussion on the role of religion in peace-building for the global community. The purpose of the WARP Summit is grounded on the Declaration of World Peace. Along with HWPL's peace initiatives based on the respect of human rights and development, including international legal foundation, education opportunities targeted at youth, and women empowerment, the WARP Summit offered religious leaders a chance to cooperate in peace-building for global citizens to enjoy a better world in an era of peace. In the 2014 WARP Summit, heads of states and representative leaders from 12 religions signed an agreement and declared inter-religious cooperation for world peace
- Religious Youth Peace Camp
The aim of the organisation’s Religious Youth Peace Camp is to engage youth and youth organizations in dialogue and conflict transformation activities based on inter-religious and inter-cultural learning. Camp participants learn about the general history of world religions, find the root cause of and plausible resolutions to religious conflicts and disputes, examine the religious community's roles for peace, and experience cultural exchanges.
