The African Union Interfaith Dialogue Forum
The African Union Interfaith Dialogue Forum is an official AU initiative designed to ensure that religious and faith‑based actors play an active role in promoting peace, human rights, inclusive development, and Agenda 2063. It aims to:
- Fully engage religious leaders and FBOs in peace and human rights work
- Build synergies between faith actors, policymakers, women and youth
- Support sustainable development and conflict‑sensitive engagement
The fifth forum was held in November 2025 in Windhoek, Namibia under the theme: “Restoring Dignity: The Role of Religious Leaders in Advocating for Justice and Reparations and Preserving Cultural Heritage for Africans and People of African Descent.”
