The ICAN Women, Peace, and Security Forum

The ICAN Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Forum is the flagship annual convening of the International Civil Society Action Network, bringing together women peacebuilders from around the world to exchange insights, strategize collectively, strengthen alliances, and shape global peace and security policy through the WASL network. The 10th ICAN Forum took place 2–5 June 2024 in Tirana, Albania, under the theme “Peacebuilding in a Time of Pessimism”, focusing on sustaining grassroots peace efforts amid growing global conflicts and shrinking civic space, highlighting the leadership and resilience of women peacebuilders worldwide. It was hosted in partnership with the Women’s Center for Development and Culture Albania (WCDCA).
