His Grace, the Right Reverend Bishop Demetrios (Charback) currently serves as Bishop of Safita. He has a diploma of Civil Engineering from Syria and Doctorate in Dogma from Greece. Professor of “inter-Christian Dialogue: Ecumenical movement” at the Theological Faculty of the University of Balamad, Lebanon. He has represented the Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch and All the East at the World Council of Churches in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2020 and at the Pan-Orthodox Movement many times.
