Jenny Kartupelis was Director of the East England Faiths Council for 11 years, and a vital member in its establishment. The Council’s main goals were to advocate for faith in civil society, work with local and national governments, and support local interfaith initiatives. Kartupelis has a professional background in public relations, and currently provides strategic planning advice and activity recommendations, undertakes surveys and research projects. Recently she led a faith audit commissioned by Peterborough City Council and a study of spiritual life in care homes, resulting in a book Developing a Relational Model of Care for Older People published by JKP in 2018, and will publish another in 2020. In 2010 she was awarded the MBE for ‘services to interfaith’. She is also part-time Strategy and Development Officer for the World Congress of Faiths, fostering collaboration with faith and interfaith groups and academic community.
