History
UNDP is based on the merging of the United Nations Expanded Programme of Technical Assistance, created in 1949, and the United Nations Special Fund, established in 1958. UNDP, as we know it now, was established in 1965 by the General Assembly of the United Nations.
IRD Activities
- Joint youth project
UNDP Indonesia and the European Union launched in 2019 an initiative to help and respond to violent extremism. The “Preventing Violent Extremism Through Promoting Tolerance and Respect for Diversity” or PROTECT project will work on three main areas: Conducting research on the prevention of violent extremism (PVE) and radicalism in Indonesia and in the region
