History
It was established in 1995 with the aim to foster closer co-operation and better understanding among the young people of the world through the exchange of information, experiences and ideas. YEU Cyprus is one of the biggest youth organizations in Cyprus numbering more than 1000 members. It is considered to be one of the most active organizations of the island realizing several activities both on international and local level.

- International exchange
YEU Cyprus partnered with 6 other NGOs, to realize the “STAR: StoryTell A Right” Youth Exchange in September 2019 with participants from Greece, Egypt, Armenia, Estonia, Bulgaria and Ukraine. This resulted in a diverse group of 42 young people, who all came together to explore the concept of human rights through the art of storytelling and video making. The overall aim of the project was to improve the level of awareness of young people, including marginalised youth, in the topic of human rights, anti discrimination and social inclusion in European and non-European countries. Including countries with different religious background, we are aiming to promote diversity, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue by using non-formal educational activities. Participants will be equipped with skills and digital competences, in order to be able to transfer the knowledge and fundamental gained through this exchange, to their local communities. Such skills include storytelling techniques, as well as, video making and editing. Participants had leisure time activities related to European traditions such as a Culture nights
- Structured Dialogue
Organisation organised in 2019 Structured Dialogue conference on the topic of successful activism in the field of the Cyprus Issue. This conference brought 30 youth together with the aim to motivate them to participate in the decision making process on political level during the discussions on the Cypriot problem and promote successful ways of activism through existing and previous examples. The Cyprus Issue and its negotiations go on for decades, while lately there is clearly a lot of effort been put in order to achieve a solution. Organisation stresses on the fact that ones who will actually live the solution in the island, the young people, are never considered as stakeholders or been asked about their opinion and that participation of youth is important when it comes to the Cyprus Issue.
