Biography Narrative
Supervisor of International Schools at at the Saudi Ministry of Education
Haya Saleh is a Supervisor of International Education and Head of the Foreign Curriculums Division in the Private Education Office at the Ministry of Education, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In her work, she deals with people of diverse religions, nationalities and cultural backgrounds, since schools include Arabs and Saudi students and staff alongside other nationalities and different religions including Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, and Islam as well.
Before taking up her current role, Haya studied Middle East Studies at the faculty of Humanities at King’s College London University where she received her PhD in Cultural and International Relations.
Haya is seeking to coordinate a knowledge exchange program to facilitate interreligious and intercultural dialogue inside her community and internationally.
She is working to integrate dialogue into Saudi curriculums and communities and to introduce dialogue methods for a new generation. For her Fellows initiative, she will design and implement a project called “high school dialogue”, through the international schools in Saudi to train students on the principles of dialogue and experience.
