Biography Narrative

Youssef Ban El Mahdi was born in Tangier, Morocco. He has a PhD in the History of Eastern Religions and Civilisations from Abdelmalek Essaâdi University. He is a Lecturer on the history of ideas and dialogue of religions and cultures at the Department of Philosophy and Civilization at Abdelmalek Essaâdi University. His motto is: “If difference is destiny, dialogue is will and choice; and choosing dialogue means seeking peace.”

Training course on the techniques of managing diversity and the employment of religion in the maintenance of social peace

A reference book for graduate students on the importance of dialogue in saving Arab societies from violent conflicts, and building social peace. This is to promote the idea of peaceful religions that does not call for violence , but for peacebuilding, co-existence. The book is planned to cover the following topics: – Peacebuilding – Diversity – Prevention of Violent Conflicts – Religion and Peaceful Management of Diversity – Practical Techniques for Diversity – Teaching Diversity – Religion and the peaceful resolution of individual disputes. – Vital methods of religions to resolve conflicts and respect the other.
