To promote dialogue, culture of coexistence, mutual understanding and to establish a common platform aiming information and opinion exchange.

Foster interfaith and intercultural dialogue, stimulate thinking and exchange of opinions on supporting and fostering democracy and peace all over the world and provide a common platform for education and information exchange; promote peace in the world and contribute to a peaceful coexistence of the adherents of different faiths, cultures, ethnicities and races; promote education, exchange of information, opinions and expertise, with a special focus on including as diverse a range of viewpoints as possible in our activities; organize conferences, seminars, panel discussions, common projects, scholarships, publications, meetings, trips and several other activities; promote the Fountain Magazine in Nigeria which is an initiative magazine of science and spiritual thought and bimonthly periodical, exploring life and our existence from a wide scholarship of humanities, natural sciences and perspectives on faith.

Explore and highlight the potentials of cultural and, in particular religious, diversity as a resource for peace rather than a barrier; create a critical mass of trained and sensitized peace workers in this particular field; create an integrated regional hub for research, training, information and documentation in the fields of peace, human rights, conflicts resolution and human development sensitive to the issues of structural and cultural diversity; develop a curriculum for Asian and African Universities focussing particularly on the cultural and religious dimension; promote the preservation of public spaces of communally inclusive heritage and cultural practices in India and elsewhere, and sensitize media and civil society about the common grounds between diverse cultures; create and reinforce networks of academic institutions in India and abroad concerned with intercultural peace and intercultural practices, to initiate Masters/PhD programmes for peace and development, and to host an online site for interreligious dialogue.

Strengthen the contribution of higher education institutions to education and research concerning the main cultural and religious principles of harmony and unity in a multi-ethnic and pluri-religious State; educate young people in a spirit of peace and tolerance, solidarity and intercultural and interfaith dialogue; ensure training of specialists able to exercise influence over the development of the cultural process in various aspects (social, religious, political, aesthetic); study the role and dynamics of cultural, spiritual and religious factors in the formation of the national identity of Kyrgyzstan; develop solutions to cultural conflicts and establish a basis for the formation of a tolerant democratic society.

Improve and promote strategies of leading cross- and inter-cultural dialogues aimed at withstanding any form of discrimination or violence, securing creative patterns existing in the framework of traditional cultures, and contribute to amplification of global culture of peaceful co-existence and sustainable development; improve and promote strategies of leading inter- and pluri-religious dialogues, directed at appeasement of open or latent contradictions, frictions or conflicts between adherents of different religious or spiritual practices, introducing values of these subcultures into comparative scientific research and societal debate; improve and promote transdisciplinary methodologies, regarded as indispensable tools of leading creative and innovative dialogue over traditionally defined and delimited borders between different scientific and/or philosophical disciplines, religious and/or spiritual doctrines, as well as different forms of social activism and inter-communal discourse.

Constitute a digital database of authors who have played a major role in the peaceful coexistence of the three monotheistic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) in Sicily (7th to 20th centuries); create a critical edition of the Passio Agathae, which constitutes an enlightening testimony on Christian-Jewish relations in Sicily in the early centuries; create a directory of the translations of Christian texts from Latin to Greek (3rd to 16th centuries) which aims to provide a basic research tool; organize education activities with the "Fondazione Oasi Città Aperta" chaired by Father Luigi Orazio Ferlauto.

Engage with governments on the impact of religious and cultural change and the need to explore new models of social cohesion and new public policies aiming at fostering peace and security in the region; foster links between scholars in the region and enhance the existing network on interreligious dialogue for intercultural understanding in order to pool expertise and support research on religions in and the Pacific and hence, develop the North-South and North-South-South cooperation; develop and maintain a regional database of religious groups and communities, including research resources and turn it into a platform for the development of new research about inter-religious issues.

Promote an integrated system of research, training, information and documentation in the field of intercultural and interreligious dialogue for South-East Europe; serve as a means of facilitating collaboration between high-level, internationally recognized researchers and teaching staff of the University and other institutions in Austria and elsewhere in Europe and North America, and in other regions of the world; study common grounds and divergences between different religious traditions, particularly in South-East Europe; contribute to peaceful coexistence of the different cultures and religions, especially in South-East Europe; coordinate the teaching and research on intercultural, ecumenical and interreligious contacts and dialogue in South-East Europe within the Theological Faculty (in close cooperation with experts at other faculties of the University of Graz; reinforce the knowledge and awareness on intercultural and Interreligious issues in South-East Europe; participate in the UNITWIN Network on Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue.

Promote an integrated system of research, training, information and documentation in the field of study of the history of intercultural dialogue in Al-Andalus, involving research in different fields: historiography, literature, philosophy, sciences, sociology, anthropology; promote cooperation among Jews, Christians, and Muslims in present-day society in the light of the coexistence of these three communities during the Middle Ages in the Iberian peninsula; serve as a means of facilitating collaboration between high-level, internationally recognized researchers and teaching staff of the University and other institutions in the Middle East, Europe, North Africa and Central Asia.

Promote an integrated system of research, training, information and documentation in the field of inter-cultural and inter-religious dialogue in the Mediterranean as a means for promoting peace; serve as a means of facilitating collaboration between high-level, internationally recognized researchers and teaching staff of the University, other institutions in the Mediterranean area, and other institutions in Europe, North America, and other regions of the world to encourage them to include this subject in their field of research; stimulate communication with civil society, using the most suitable tools of communication: the new technologies of information and communication and audio-visual resources, particularly documentary cinema, thus fostering interaction between inter-cultural and inter-religious dialogue, development and peace.
