Provide spiritual leaders with an absolutely neutral environment where they can meet, hold discussions and initiate necessary actions.
Pursue the goal of the visible unity of the Church. This involves a process of renewal and change in which member churches pray, worship, discuss and work together.
Serve as a resource to the United Nations and its agencies around the world, nation states and other international organisations, offering the collective wisdom and resources of the faith traditions toward the resolution of critical global problems.
Deincentivise religious violence by mobilising religiously diverse youth to fight global poverty.
Bridge between the worlds of faith and secular development; support dialogue and conferences; foster communities of practice; collect case-studies on faith-based organisations; promote understanding in religion and development.
Spread the message of harmony and tolerance among the followers of all the world's religions, faiths and beliefs; co-ordinate and unite the efforts of all the interfaith groups doing positive work with one focused theme at one specific time annually, thereby increasing their collective momentum and eliminating redundancy; harness and utilise the collective might of the world's second-largest infrastructure, the places of worship, specifically for peace and harmony in the world; encourage the silent majority of preachers to declare themselves for peace and harmony and providing a ready-made vehicle for them to do so.
Foster the unity and represent the interests of the Jewish people, and ensure the continuity and development of its religious, spiritual, cultural, and social heritage; enhance solidarity among Jewish communities throughout the world and strengthen the bonds of Jewish communities and Jews in the Diaspora with Israel; secure the rights, status and interests of Jews and Jewish communities and defend them wherever they are denied, violated or threatened; encourage and assist the creative development of Jewish social, religious, and cultural life throughout the world, support Jewish education and the development of Jewish values, and ensure Jewish continuity and the transmittal of Jewish legacy from one generation to another; assist Jewish communities in strengthening their Jewish identities and in confronting problems in the political, legal, social, religious, cultural or economic spheres; represent and act on behalf of Member Communities and the Jewish people as a whole vis-à-vis governments, governmental authorities, international and intergovernmental organisations and authorities, non-governmental organisations, inter-faith groups, other faiths and civic bodies; preserve the memory of the Holocaust and of the millions of Jews and countless Jewish communities destroyed during the Shoah, and advocate on behalf of its survivors and their families; combat anti-Semitism in all its manifestations and raise the consciousness of the public at large to the dangers inherent in any incitement to religious, racial, or ethnic intolerance, oppression or persecution; foster, support and participate in inter-faith dialogue; encourage and promote gender equality and the involvement of younger Jews in Jewish communal and organisational leadership; cooperate with governments, nations, organisations, and individuals, to accomplish the above goals in the spirit of peace, freedom, equality and justice.
Contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law; help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.
Assist the World Organization in fostering the Scout Movement in the Africa Region in accordance with the purpose, principles and method of the Scout Movement as defined by the Constitution of the World Organization.
