The Lican Foundation takes part in Jesuit activities such as generating and participating in ecclesial and social processes of empowerment, promoting the dignity of life in the Mapuche lands, and forming connections with other people regardless of the presence of other institutions. The activities of the Lican Foundation are focused on the Mapuche area but are open to all.

This Chair specialized in religious and intercultural studies seeks, first, to develop intercultural dialogue to consolidate peace, mutual understanding, forgiveness and reconciliation.Second, to study the biological, psychological and spiritual potential that human beings have to build peace.Finally it aims to educate families and communities in mutual respect, dialogue, fraternal solidarity, cooperation, trust, justice, tolerance and peace.

To spread the Universal Message of Peace, May Peace Prevail On Earth, far and wide to embrace the lands and people of this Earth.

Strive to share God's love and compassion for all through relief, development and peace; committed to relationships with our local partners and churches; strive to make peace a part of everything we do; plan with community and church groups to make sure the projects meet their needs; advocate for policies that will lead to a more peaceful world.

The organisation works to protect the dignity and the rights of the most vulnerable migrants and their children. This is done by means of welcoming and political advocacy. The aim is to create greater awareness in society regarding cultural and religious diversity. The organisation seeks the participation of the migrants themselves and depends on the collaboration of volunteers. The organisation also forms alliances with other social groups that share its vision and sense of mission.

Build a diverse community of learners and seekers, empowering engagement with an interfaith library of world religion texts alongside a religiously and ethnically diverse community.

Establish cross-cultural leadership teams of young women and men, with skills that will help them emerge from dysfunctional families and a drug-influenced life on the streets, to become peer-leaders and agents of peace capable of helping themselves and influencing their communities for good.

Honestly and sincerely endeavour, by themselves, to understand the true teachings of the two religions – Christianity and Islam including their peculiarities and personal mannerisms through dialogue, discussions, workshops, seminars, conferences, pamphleteering and others.

Promote peace practices among different communities and empower communities to fight poverty from inside out.

Address a wide range of security-related concerns that encompasses politico-military, economic and environmental, and human aspects, including arms control, confidence- and security-building measures, human rights, national minorities, democratization, policing strategies, counter-terrorism, anti-trafficking measures and economic and environmental activities.
