Foster respect for one another through deepening our understanding of one another - the more we understand one another’s religious, cultural and philosophical perspectives, values and traditions, the better our ability to work together to strengthen our communities and overcome the challenges facing the world.

Promote mutual understanding and esteem between Christians and Jews, based on the common spiritual heritage, through biblical and theological studies as well as fraternal dialogue, in accordance with the declaration Nostra Aetate of the Second Vatican Council; Strengthen the roots of our faith, trying to know the Jewish environment, ideas, customs, festivals and religious rites in which Christianity began to develop; approach today’s Jews through mutual understanding, dialogue and coexistence to thereby combat prejudices and establish with them a sincere brotherhood.

The aim is to make known Judaism and the Jewish roots of Christianity, the person of Jesus and the environment in which he lived as a Jew. It focuses on the study of the Bible, the Word of God for Jews and Christians. It aims to promote mutual knowledge and true friendship; deepen what unites Jews and Christians, and respect the differences. The Centre works against the prejudices that engendered the false accusations of ritual crimes, anti-Jewish concepts based on an erroneous interpretation of the Holy Scriptures, and other discriminatory opinions that are still often expressed on many occasions. The Centre reflects on the meaning of the Shoah, of the Covenant never repealed, of the meaning of the Land for the people of Israel and the new teachings of Pope John Paul II about Judaism and relations with the Jewish people, and their application in exegesis and theology.

Spread the ideals, documents and activities of UNESCO in the area of Catalan culture and bring to UNESCO the Catalan cultural community's collaboration in those fields for which UNESCO has competence, that is in education, science, culture, and communication; provide information and distribute documents relative to other international governmental and nongovernmental organisations with the object of contributing to international peace and coexistence.

Conduct ongoing reflection on the meaning of the Gospel and the mission of the Church; create a space for openness and debate on its way of being and acting in mission in the respective context of each member; search unity of action based on justice, the quest for peace and reconciliation, based on the dignity of the human person and the safeguarding of creation.

Foster research and discussion in the fields of Interreligious dialogue and Eastern Christianity and help people to recognise and appreciate the religious, cultural, and spiritual values of the ancient religions of India aiming at a mutually enriching and meaningful encounter between the East and the West, promoting peaceful co-existence of religions and spreading the message of universal brotherhood.

Promote world peace through the dissemination of information on peace initiatives from the perspective of believers and people of good will, including ecumenical and interfaith initiatives in France and in the world, the posting of peace actors' statements, and the proposal of tools for action.

Work globally for profound change that eradicates the causes of poverty, striving to achieve equality, dignity and freedom for all, regardless of faith or nationality and provide urgent, practical, and effective assistance where need is great, tackling the effects of poverty as well as its root causes.

Facilitate and build capacity of grass root citizens through the member churches so as to ensure a sustained Christian lifestyle, witness and transformation of the Nigerian society as the organization is driven by our vision of a united faith community that is the conscience of the society for the fullness of the life for all of God’s humankind in Nigeria.
