Promote an awareness of the common values lying behind diversity through its fellowships programmes for individuals who are principally from the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic traditions; support and educate leaders who can bring about better understanding among religious traditions and cultures; encourage these Individuals to follow a study programme which will increase their knowledge of religious traditions different from their own.

Become a centre of excellence in research on Islam and contemporary issues. Focus on selected areas of research including the intellectual development of Islam Hadhari and the Islamic principles and doctrines on which it is founded.

Promote the student apostolate among students in higher education stressing their responsibility in life, in the Church’s mission and in the world; recognize the problems of justice, a recognition which is vital to the transformation of society, and work with all concerned women and men for joint action and reflection leading to a more just and equitable social order at all levels: national, continental and international; further the Christian faith experience lived in one’s own commitment and to try to communicate this faith to the student milieu by bearing witness to Jesus Christ; encourage pedagogies of action which help students integrate their Christian faith in their efforts to build a more just society.
Promote understanding and cooperation among Buddhist countries, Buddhist sects, and socially conscious Buddhist groups; identify and address the structural and personal suffering facing our communities, societies, and the world; articulate the perspective of engaged Buddhism regarding this suffering, and to train Buddhist activists to respond effectively; serve as a network of information and resources on engaged Buddhism; cooperate and collaborate with activists from other spiritual traditions and social change organisations.
