Promote a respectful, scholarly and consensus building dialogue among the world's great religions, in particular between Islam and Christianity; publish papers, articles and books of interest in this field; act as an open forum for constructive dialogue among scholars, theologians and diplomats; organize an annual conference promoting scholarly and diplomatic dialogue.
Build awareness and motivate youth to be socially engaged; build leadership capacity among the youth to carry out activities effectively; promote networking and solidarity among youth towards coordinated actions in the field of child and human rights, environmental conservation, economic justice and peace; participate in policy advocacy on child and youth rights including non-state and refugee youth.
Promote the student apostolate among students in higher education stressing their responsibility in life, in the Church’s mission and in the world; recognize the problems of justice, a recognition which is vital to the transformation of society, and work with all concerned women and men for joint action and reflection leading to a more just and equitable social order at all levels: national, continental and international; further the Christian faith experience lived in one’s own commitment and to try to communicate this faith to the student milieu by bearing witness to Jesus Christ; encourage pedagogies of action which help students integrate their Christian faith in their efforts to build a more just society.
Accompany organisational processes in defence of human rights and be physically and visibly present in the moments and places of highest tension so as to try to prevent repression and violence, such that threatened persons and organisations can continue their work to promote peace and human rights; expose the causes and consequences of, as well as responses to, socio-political conflict in Chiapas as well as in Oaxaca and Guerrero, with the intent of raising awareness and mobilising actors at local, national, and international levels to seek out non-violent solutions; work to strengthen the capacities of local groups, social agents—female and male—who work in defence of human rights and towards transformation of their conflicts in order to achieve a positive peace, and to promote and strengthen spaces for coming together and movement building.
Introduce the qualities of Shinto (Japan's indigenous religion); disseminate Japanese culture; to organise symposiums on Shinto; promote the establishment of Shinto chairs at universities and other institutions; establish an international Shinto library; promote the publication of books on Shinto and produce a comprehensive Shinto dictionary in the English language; offer venues for the discussion of Shinto research; encourage the study of Shinto; produce literature and organise event which will enhance better understanding of Shinto; do any other act or thing incidental to or connected with the foregoing purposes or in advancement thereof, and solicit contributions, receive and maintain fund of real or personal property, or both and subject to the restrictions and limitations hereinafter act forth, use and apply the whole or any part of the income therefrom and the principal thereof exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes.
