Combat negative stereotypes and provide an American Muslim voice in speaking out against extremism and terrorism; support human and civil rights activists and programmes in the Middle East and North Africa through its international bureaus and numerous programmes, conferences, and training workshops; change the discourse both within the American Muslim community and in American society in general by organising numerous interfaith and interethnic events, providing discussion guides and educational curriculum to the public, and launching a student-led campus initiative that offers an alternative Muslim voice and a civic identity grounded in pluralism and progressive thinking.

Help individuals get rid of stress and experience inner peace; offer stress-elimination programmes which include breathing techniques, meditation, and yoga.

Be an ASEAN institution for research activities on peace, conflict management and conflict resolution; promote and (or) fulfil activities agreed in the ASEAN Political-Security Community Blueprint; as well as possible additional activities.

Promote, develop and coordinate the work of YMCA movements in Asia and the South Pacific.

Advance mutual understanding and collaboration between the people of Asia and Europe through intellectual, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges; act as the civil society outreach of the Asia-Europe Meeting; work as a platform for Asia-Europe dialogue to stimulate permanent networks that reinforce Asia-Europe bi-regional relations; act as an interface between civil society and ASEM governments and consequently, contributes to the ASEM process by generating unique recommendations for officials' consideration.

Inspire and empower God's family in AMECEA to a credible and prophetic witness to Christ by promoting unity, justice, peace, and solidarity through deeper evangelisation, constant conversion and prayer, inculturation, ecumenism and inter-religious dialogue; relevant formation of all agents of evangelisation; revitalisation, and continued emphasis on the role of the small Christian communities in evangelisation; preferential option for the poor, oppressed, and marginalised, particularly refugees, persons affected and infected with HIV/AIDS, and internally displaced people; empowering the laity and the religious men and women to play their active roles in the Church and society; self-reliance in personnel and finances at all levels; networking, effective communication and advocacy; poverty eradication, sustainable development, and relevant response to all issues affecting God's family.

Serve the common perception of missionary responsibility of members; carry out tasks of the World Mission and Evangelism, which are beyond the scope and impact of its members; support the Evangelical Church in Germany and their member churches, and the Mission's member churches in different missionary orientation of the church's work and promote the collaboration of church and mission as well as the cooperation of regional missions and missionary societies; serve the cooperation of its members, particularly in the areas of missionary proclamation, missiology, education and training for missionary services and relations with churches and regional and continental ecclesial cooperation overseas; support tasks of World Mission and Evangelism, which require the cooperation between its members, especially in the fields of medical mission, the “World Bible Support”, theological education overseas, the Christian literature development and the church's use of mass media in overseas, society-related services of churches and church groups in overseas, the pro-development actions of churches, interchurch aid and missionary outreach; cooperate with the facilities of the church development service, the ecumenical Diakonia and church work abroad; perform the tasks of the German Protestant Missionary Day in accordance with the agreement from 29 October 1976; assume tasks at the request of individual members if no member objects; respect the responsibility of its members in its preparation and execution of tasks; be open to cooperation with missionary societies and missionary working groups, even if they are not a member.

Build bridges break down walls; mobilise young people to join Bridgebuilders Clubs; train them using our Bridgebuilders Curriculum and hands-on, cross-cultural experiences; send them out, or perhaps back to their own communities, to be ambassadors of change who make a positive difference in their world; supports these youth in Regional Support Team; enable them to be successful in their bridgebuilding mission.

Dedicate to the interdisciplinary study of religion, ethics, and public life; explore global challenges of democracy and human rights, economic and social development, international diplomacy, and interreligious understanding through research, teaching, and service.

Strive to be a living testimony for Jesus Christ and seek to act as agents for justice, peace, the overcoming of violence and for the integrity of creation; support churches and development projects in the Middle East, in Africa, East Asia, Russia, Cuba, North America and Europe; communicate the concerns of its partners in Germany and help shape the ecumenical connections of both its sponsoring churches, the Evangelical Church Berlin-Brandenburg-schlesische Oberlausitz, and the Evangelical Church of Anhalt; promote the alliance between churches to combine our missionary efforts; promote human rights and development to make people stronger; promote church partnerships to learn from one another and share with one another; promote ecumenical learning to expand our view beyond the familiar.
