Make both Christians and Muslims understand and accept each other in order to create a suitable atmosphere for a common living; Encourage interfaith and cultural dialogues between different peoples and religions in the Holy Land; Put an end to attempts by those who try to exploit religions for their own ends; Pave the way for justice and peace and to work for the rights of the oppressed, the poor and the marginalized in society; Focus on current pressing issues and problems facing society; Create awareness for pluralistic, democratic and civil society as well as commitment to human rights; Promote awareness and commitment to society and peace among the youth; Organize lectures, conferences and study days to further the mission of the Center; Publish newsletters, journals and books to proliferate the message of the center locally and internationally.

Mobilise to faithfully live the message of God's love; nurture a common understanding of the faith; interpret and respond to challenges to human dignity; act prophetically in word, life, and service for healing.

Build reliable relationships in order to collaborate on substantial service projects that contribute to the benefit of society; help to promote universal principles to contribute to greater understanding and peace.

Promote lasting peace with justice, as a practical expression of faith in action; nurture the seeds of change and respect for human life that transform social relations and systems; envision a world in which lasting peace with justice is achieved through active nonviolence and the transforming power of love; work toward a world in which all persons affirm the common good and recognise our mutual interdependence; societies steward resources equitably; caring, respectful economic development, including work with dignity, promotes wellbeing for all; communities and societies fractured by exclusion and marginalisation are healed and transformed, embracing inclusion and equality; conflicts are resolved through restorative means and without force or coercion; governments and societal institutions are fair and accountable.

Combat negative stereotypes and provide an American Muslim voice in speaking out against extremism and terrorism; support human and civil rights activists and programmes in the Middle East and North Africa through its international bureaus and numerous programmes, conferences, and training workshops; change the discourse both within the American Muslim community and in American society in general by organising numerous interfaith and interethnic events, providing discussion guides and educational curriculum to the public, and launching a student-led campus initiative that offers an alternative Muslim voice and a civic identity grounded in pluralism and progressive thinking.

Enhance the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel, and advance human rights and democratic values in the United States and around the world.

Proclaim and celebrate the gospel of Jesus Christ in worship and action; value the heritage of biblical faith, reason, liturgy, tradition, bishops and synods, and the rich variety of life in the community; acknowledge that God is calling us to greater diversity of membership, wider participation in ministry and leadership, better stewardship in God's creation and a stronger resolve in challenging attitudes and structures that cause injustice; commit to respond to the call in love and service and so more fully live the life of Christ.

Bring people together from across the Mediterranean to improve mutual respect between cultures and to support civil society working for a common future for the region; contribute to the development of an Intercultural Strategy for the Euro-Mediterranean Region, providing recommendations to decision-makers and institutions and advocating for shared values; overcome the misunderstandings and stereotypes which affect relations between and within the societies of the region; restore trust in dialogue and bridge the gaps in mutual perceptions, as well as promoting diversity and coexistence.
