Promote dialogue, mutual respect, and cooperation among different cultures and faiths that make up our society; organize seminars, panels, dinners, art exhibits, interfaith dialogue trips, and music and dance performances; provide the members of our community with opportunities to engage in intercultural/interfaith dialogue and appreciate the cultural and religious differences.
Assist religious and ideological critics and rivals to live in peaceful tension together as they live their religions with full integrity; provide programs for persons of conviction, to honorably engage others of different beliefs in trust-building conversations and activities; work to build trust through honestly facing unresolvable religious or ideological differences in a respectful manner of co-resistance that reflects openness to mutual persuasion never coercion.
Promote the testimony that Jews, Christians and Muslims -fully respecting their religions and confessions- have decided to unite to become aware of their religions and its commonalities, since Abraham is their common spiritual and cultural heritage, but also to work together on the effective reconciliation of all those who in any way constitute the descendants of Abraham today and to free the world of evils such as hatred, fanatical violence, pride of race and blood, by revealing the true and divine sources of fraternal humanism.
Pursue the foundation's mission to promote and strengthen democracy by providing political education, political advice as well as international collaboration; be active at the interfaces between political practice, science, the trade union movement, civil society and the economy; foster gifted students and postgraduates from Germany and abroad; preserve the collective memory and historic foundations of Social Democracy and trade unions, and make these accessible to the public.
Listen and build relationships with young people; ignite their passion and create communities where young people are heard, considered and developed; work for society to take young people's opinions and ideas seriously; work with all young people, focusing especially on those living in or at risk of exclusion; believe that everyone can succeed and deserve another chance; give young people the tools to take control of their future by taking advantage of their inner strength and motivation; listen to what is happening and are quick to act; see opportunities where others see problems; be bold enough to dare to create change.
