To promote the mutual understanding between people of different faiths, fostering dialogue and peaceful coexistence everywhere.

The aim of the Table is to create a friendly spirit of dialogue and collaboration between members of different religions, respect each person's human dignity, overcome all kind of prejudices, stereotypes and fears.

Strengthen, promote, and consolidate cooperation among the Member States and consolidate it in the fields of education, science, culture and communication, as well as develop and upgrade these fields, within the framework of the civilisational reference of the Islamic world and in the light of the human Islamic values and ideals; consolidate understanding among peoples inside and outside the Member States and contribute to the achievement of world peace and security through various means, particularly through education, science, culture and communication; publicise the correct image of Islam and Islamic culture, promote dialogue among civilisations, cultures and religions, and work towards spreading the values of justice and peace along with the principles of freedom and human rights, in accordance with the Islamic civilisational perspective; encourage cultural interaction and to support the aspects of cultural diversity in the Member States, while preserving the cultural identity and protecting the independence of thought; consolidate complementarity and coordination among the specialised institutions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture and communication and among the Member States of ISESCO, and promote cooperation and partnership with the similar governmental and non-governmental institutions sharing the same interest, inside and outside the Member States; take further interest in Islamic culture, highlight its specificities and publicise its landmarks in intellectual studies, scientific researches and educational curricula; work for establishing complementarity and correlation among the educational systems of the Member States; support the efforts of the educational, scientific and cultural institutions for Muslims in non-Member States of ISESCO.

Build positive relations between citizens with Christian and Muslim background; Work for equal citizenship nationally and internationally.

Make a significant contribution to national and global peace through universal values of dialogue, friendship, mutual respect and understanding.

Foster interreligious dialogue at various levels and attempt to make interreligious dialogue an essential dimension of JSCA's One Mission; translate this on the practical level for most Jesuits, it means that the Secretariat strives to help them to understand the significance and the need for entering into dialogue with anyone of good will, especially in the context of religious conflicts, and encourage them to work together towards trust and co-operation, peace and harmony of life.

Create a more just and hopeful world; engage passionate young people in vital service within poor communities; foster the growth of leaders committed to faith in action.

Study the biblical roots of our faith to better understand the religious and cultural grounds in which Christianism was born and which is the beginning of the Apostolic Church; promote mutual knowledge of both religions and friendship with the Jewish People, with whom we have strong ties, according to the instructions of the declaration “Nostra Aetate” of the Vatican Council II.

Develop and implement educational programmes geared towards developing the concepts of peace building using the interfaith perspective of human dignity, equality, justice, and freedom.

Promote peaceful coexistence through dialogue and understanding at global, regional and local levels.
