Carry out the mandate of its Lord to hear and to proclaim the Word; confess the triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; confession of the church takes place in communion with the confession of our ancestors as formulated; acknowledge the significance of the Theological Declaration of Barmen for its confession today; acknowledge the Leuenberg Agreement that the Lutheran and Reformed traditions come together through a common understanding of the Gospel; confess Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour of the world and thus calls for renewal of life in culture, society and state; bear witness before people, powers, and governments to God's promises and commandments and in doing so seek a dialogue with other churches; give expression to its unrelinquishable solidarity with the Jewish people; bear witness to the salvation in Jesus Christ in proclamation and service to all people and to all nations; test the confession in the light of Holy Scripture; shun that which contradicts its confession.

Inform the Israeli public about human rights violations, and pressure the State institutions to redress these injustices; and give expression to the traditional Jewish responsibility for the safety and welfare of the stranger, the different and the weak, the convert, the widow and the orphan.

Provide an environment wherein youth from diverse cultures and faiths can rise above doctrinal differences, unite in activities of service and learning, and develop leadership abilities that enable them to help create a culture of peace; provide youth from diverse cultures and faiths with alternatives to violence; offer service opportunities which allow the breakdown of barriers, foster altruism, facilitate friendship and build community; develop and apply best practice models of leadership, human cooperation and relationship; increase effective leadership abilities, learned by experience; create settings wherein intercultural experiences can occur; give opportunities to express and share spirituality and/or religious traditions with others; provide occasions to hear from community and religious leaders, and explore the peace building characteristics of their cultures; encourage meaningful interaction, allowing insights from interaction immediately to be applied to promoting peace; cultivate learning by reflection; assure succession, replication and expansion of RYS human capital through education and training.
Remember the victims and survivors of the Srebrenica genocide; learn the lessons from Srebrenica, particularly that we must always be vigilant against hatred and intolerance in our communities; and pledge to take action now to build better and safer communities for all.
To act as a focal point and meeting place for studies and research on various aspects of Islamic civilisation creating objective conditions for cooperation among the parties concerned world-wide with an aim to eliminate prejudices against Islam and its civilisation, project their correct image, inform the world opinion on their role and place in world civilisation, and promote a better understanding and a dialogue between Muslims and other peoples of the world.
