Al Hayat aims to promote accountability, governance, public participation and community cohesion in Jordan and the region within the framework of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law, taking into consideration gender mainstreaming in public policy and action. It works through two main programs: Accountability, Legal Governance and Participation- RASED (the monitor) and Tamasok Community Empowerment Program.
The institute was created to meet their needs of formation and ecumenical, interreligious, and intercultural dialogue in Morocco. As such, it is not only an ephemeral concession, but fits into and reinforces a historical intellectual experience. The Al Mouwafaqa has a place of formation and meetings unique in the world because of its ecumenical character, its commitment to interreligious dialogue. The institute offers courses (university type), training, and activities for a wider audience: seminars on Islam ology, training of leaders of so- called house of churches, and conferences. Al- Liqa' center aims to:; make both Christians and Muslims understand and accept each other in order to create a suitable atmosphere for a common living.; - encourage interfaith and cultural dialogues between different people and religions in the Holy land.; - put an end to attempts by those who try to exploit religions for their own ends.; - pave the way for justice and peace and work for the rights oppressed, the poor and the marginalized in society. ; - focus on current pressing issues and problems facing society.; - create awareness for pluralistic, democratic and civil society as well as commitment to human rights.; - promote awareness and commitment to society and peace among the youth.; - organize lectures, conferences and study days to further the mission of the center.; - publish newsletters, journals and books to proliferate the message of the center locally and internationally.
Promote harmonious intercultural relations, particularly among Jews and Muslims; facilitate mutual knowledge; reach out to those who yearn and work for peace and mutual respect; promote greater mutual knowledge among peoples of different cultures and religions, particularly Jews and Muslims; bring about changes in attitudes and perceptions and develop a culture of peace and tolerance.
Build reliable relationships in order to collaborate on substantial service projects that contribute to the benefit of society; help to promote universal principles to contribute to greater understanding and peace.
Combat negative stereotypes and provide an American Muslim voice in speaking out against extremism and terrorism; support human and civil rights activists and programmes in the Middle East and North Africa through its international bureaus and numerous programmes, conferences, and training workshops; change the discourse both within the American Muslim community and in American society in general by organising numerous interfaith and interethnic events, providing discussion guides and educational curriculum to the public, and launching a student-led campus initiative that offers an alternative Muslim voice and a civic identity grounded in pluralism and progressive thinking.

Bring people together from across the Mediterranean to improve mutual respect between cultures and to support civil society working for a common future for the region; contribute to the development of an Intercultural Strategy for the Euro-Mediterranean Region, providing recommendations to decision-makers and institutions and advocating for shared values; overcome the misunderstandings and stereotypes which affect relations between and within the societies of the region; restore trust in dialogue and bridge the gaps in mutual perceptions, as well as promoting diversity and coexistence.
