Work for the advancement of equality, social justice and respect for human rights in Canada and around the world through transformative human rights education programs; equip local human rights defenders and educators to build more inclusive communities and to contribute to social and economic development goals through democratic participation.
Create Mutual Understanding between Muslims, Christians and Jews; Understand and assist the problems of ground religious leaders; Engage religious teachers of Schools and Madrassas for disseminating information of peace and religious cooperation; Bring together Governments and Religious Leaders; Engage week long workshops where grass root leaders of different religions from the same country can participate and stay with each other in order to strengthen their working relation on the ground; Take out research papers on the ground situations of countries in pretext of religious activities; Organize same religious events, where religious leaders of same faith from different parts of the world can meet and cooperate in the future; Organize networking dinners in different regions for different religions to interact with each other.
Unite and support the member organizations; offer opportunities to come together in a spirit of fraternity and mutual understanding; create the feeling of a community and stimulate educational exchanges on issues concerning youth and youth work; help uncover and understand the specific needs of children and young people all over the world; build upon the local experiences of its members to track down the needs of young people and youth workers and to develop actions to deal with these needs; represent the member organizations in international bodies and to be a voice of young people; build with and through young people a better world and a living Church.
Become a centre of excellence in research on Islam and contemporary issues. Focus on selected areas of research including the intellectual development of Islam Hadhari and the Islamic principles and doctrines on which it is founded.
Serve as a think tank in the field of Islamic education, culture and knowledge; formulate a comprehensive Islamic vision and methodology that will help Muslim scholars in their critical analysis of contemporary knowledge; develop an appropriate methodology for understanding the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet; develop an appropriate methodology for dealing with Islamic legacy and contemporary knowledge, in order to draw on the experiences of both past and present, to build a better future for the Ummah and humanity at large; develop an appropriate methodology for understanding and dealing with the present situation of both the Ummah and the world in general, and the field of education in particular, in view of contemporary challenges and opportunities.
Work for the development of European Citizenship with an emphasis on threefold dialogue: international dialogue, especially among all the peoples of Europe, intercultural dialogue among all kinds of cultures, and interconvictional dialogue among people with different world visions; work for the development of new secular public spaces, distinct from those of religious institutions, which facilitate dialogue and sharing between people who claim a humanist identity.
Promote inter-religious dialogue, human rights, reconciliation, peace and justice; organise and participation in manifestations related to promotion of inter-religious dialogue; organise and support activities related to inter-religious dialogue, human rights, peace and reconciliation; support developing reform of education in cooperation with state institutions, local and international institutions and organisations; establish educational centres, in cooperation with educational and cultural institutions, that will offer programmes for intercultural, multireligious and civic education, primarily of the youth; support processes of democratisation in Bosnia and Herzegovina: improve and respect human rights, cultural, ethnical, religious and other specificities and differences; promote and support scientific and research works; publish scientific and research materials for educative and non-commercial goals; promote and encourage research and scientific activities of both individuals and scientific-research teams, and cooperate with institutes, libraries, universities and similar institutions.
Accompany organisational processes in defence of human rights and be physically and visibly present in the moments and places of highest tension so as to try to prevent repression and violence, such that threatened persons and organisations can continue their work to promote peace and human rights; expose the causes and consequences of, as well as responses to, socio-political conflict in Chiapas as well as in Oaxaca and Guerrero, with the intent of raising awareness and mobilising actors at local, national, and international levels to seek out non-violent solutions; work to strengthen the capacities of local groups, social agents—female and male—who work in defence of human rights and towards transformation of their conflicts in order to achieve a positive peace, and to promote and strengthen spaces for coming together and movement building.
COMIPAZ aims to promote a culture of peace and team-work from an interreligious sphere to the world, and to help build a more plural, mature, and respectful society.
