The Abraham Fund strives to fulfill the promise of full and equal citizenship and complete equality of social and political rights for Israel’s Jewish and Arab citizens, as embodied in Israel's Declaration of Independence: A state which is the national homeland of the Jewish people and a full, complete and equal home for its Arab-Palestinian national minority.
Facilitate the establishment of National Inter-Religious Councils (NIRCs) and Sub-regional Inter-Religious Coordinating Bodies (SIRCBs) and promote cooperation among them in responding to pan-African and sub-regional challenges; build and equip networks that promote the mission of ACRL-RfP such as women of faith and religious youth networks.
To promote interfaith understanding and provide interfaith education and training across the life-cycle in the local and global comunities and across the curriculum and divisons of the Nazareth college.
Enable rich and fruitful discussion of scriptural texts between Muslims, Jews and Christians - thereby helping to deepen understanding between members of each faith tradition, build trust and friendship between participants, and develop new research methods and tools for collaboratively studying texts; expand its sphere of engagement to encompass non-Abrahamic faiths; accomplish its goals within both academic and public landscapes, both in the UK (where it is based) and globally.
Promote dialogue and the culture of peaceful coexistence among cultures, ideas, and people; work with decision-making circles for better understanding and clearer comprehension of inter-communal and inter-religious issues in Britain, across Europe and beyond; provide a new and unique standard of information, allowing decisions and policies to be established upon proper basis and efficient consultation, on a number of pertinent global issues; advise organisations leaders and other stakeholders on how to enhance their performance whilst reaching out to understand and accept different cultures, faith, and civilisations; promote conflict resolution and peace building in its entirety and comprehensiveness.
Facilitate Christian-Jewish engagement and ensure that the following core values remain central: promote understanding, value difference, demonstrate empathy and respect, and challenge prejudices.
Develop and promote the spiritual dimension of Guiding and Scouting with the enrichment of the Protestant Christian faith; promote constructive cooperation and a beneficial working environment between Scouting and Guiding and the official local Protestant Churches and the World Council of Churches; promote collaboration and partnership between CPGS members, including facilitating of exchanges and the sharing of experiences and best practices; take an active part in the inter-religious dialogue within Scouting.
Uphold the faith once delivered to the Saints and seek to grow together in love of God and our neighbours, rooted in Scripture, maturing in Christ, committing ourselves to mission in the world in the power of the Spirit; reach the unreached with the Gospel of Christ; grow Christ's church by making disciples and equipping leaders; serve our neighbours in Christ's name; work for unity among all Christians; dialogue with other faith communities.
Foster peace between the world's diverse faith communities through interfaith dialogue, education, research and dissemination; generate interfaith dialogue at the highest levels, gather together religious leaders and renowned scholars from all over the world; organise research projects, public conferences and community-based initiatives; speak out on matters of global significance in a united religious voice.
