Nurture a flourishing monastic community in the US, where learning and practising Buddha's ancient teachings cultivate peace in the hearts of the residents and visitors and -by extension- in the world.
Promote justice, peace and creation from a standpoint of solidarity with the poor; promote dialogue between Christians and those from all other religious traditions; facilitate interchange between local Churches; help local Churches grow into evangelising communities open to all peoples; establish the Church where the gospel has not been preached.
Be an Anglican community of education, hospitality, pilgrimage, and reconciliation. Through study, site visits, engagement with the local Christian community, prayer and reflection, lives are transformed and faith renewed.
Strengthen community integration with dialogue and understanding; provide an engagement with civic and community life; provide training for Christians to equip them to live confidently in multi faith societies, for Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Jews, people of all other faiths and beliefs who would like to know and understand their faith neighbours and discover ways of strengthening community life for the common good, for people at work, who need to understand more about faiths, for young people with aspirations to be the leaders of tomorrow, and for study enthusiasts.
Foster a strong academic community dedicated to the quest for truth and justice through serious study, integration of knowledge, and an ongoing dialogue between faith and reason; encourage students to explore widely the various areas of theological studies and related disciplines in order to interpret and live authentically the Christian faith in their concrete contexts; promote an openness to various denominational, religious, theological and pastoral positions while explicitly maintaining the Roman Catholic tradition and practices; prepare students for effective involvement in the development of a society of greater peace, justice and compassionate love.
Promote awareness through a series of conferences, seminars, exchanges, and debates, to know the different religious expressions in our home; work with different religions and secular groups, bringing them together; attend and coordinate the requests coming from the different religious communities; exercise care about the city, especially about pain in the city, in order to create a citizenship with values, with a decent human level; ensure prevention and contribute to the resolution of interreligious conflicts; become an information point and a benchmark for practical dialogue between religions; be attentive to the establishment of new religious communities in Catalonia and help them become part of Catalan society; advise public administrations on interreligious issues.
